ImageAfter a long (long, long, long) day’s work I tend to crash – and forget about taking the time for “me time”. So tonight I just wanted to post something for all the busy B’s – chill out and read model and muse Constance Jablonski’s bio as seen by Garance. In fact, check out all her Career interviews, including fellow Montrealer Caroline Issa’s!

Bonne lecture xx

For the past three days, I have been mending plants, sowing seeds and working my fingers through the earth with friends, and it is calming me. I am calm for the first time in months.

To shun away contact with offices, schools and humans who you do not want to talk to is breaking free from restraints that have been tied upon you in your sleep. Creating life from dirt and getting down in it is the most amusing feeling for a city girl, who has always had a keen dislike for anything creepy crawly.

And the most interesting people you meet, those who tend to wildlife in the city, who appreciate the smell of flowers or the trickle of fresh spring water down a cascading stream… oh! the joys of working, shovel in hand, creating ecological wonders.
