So we have entered an age where luxury can expand to the publishing industry. Now, I’m not referincing high fashion magazines or rare books, but big publishing houses such as Taschen and Assouline who have managed to market their collector’s books as high-trend luxury objects. If luxury translates to a state of extravagant living, of comfort and hedonism, what greater why to exude that lifestyle than through the written press.
