Peter Singer for Earth Month

https://i2.wp.com/images.salon.com/books/int/2006/05/08/singer/story.jpgSince timing is terrible and my priorities aren’t right,

I’ve only compiled some quotes…

by an individual that I adore quite much: Peter Singer. I love him because he proves
to me that mankind can understand a polemic greater than itself: animal abuse and exploitation.
After all, animal’s ARE part of the environment, a fact that many tree-huggers seem to forget.
More then that, they are our contemporaries, if we just listen and watch with a little more
compassion. This is why it avails of such great importance to show a little sympathy for them
this Earth month.

“All the arguments to prove man’s superiority cannot shatter this hard fact: in suffering
the animals are our equals.”
“An animal experiment cannot be justifiable unless the experiment is so
important that the use of a brain-damaged human would be justifiable.”
“The notion that human life is sacred just because it is human life is medieval.”

Thank ewe.
